Another Amazing Jump!

Enumclaw 1st Ward Basketball continues to be undefeated!  

We played Buckley 1st Ward, which is one of our more challenging teams.....and we pulled ahead during the second half of the game, ending with a 46-28 score.  We won't mention that they we missing some of their key players and only had 5 players, meaning they had no one to sub in.  Yes, we exhausted them...and loved it.

I thought I'd throw in a picture of Landon's school friends.  Landon invites this group over to play basketball at the church building on occasion.  I go to hang out so they have an adult there.  I think these guys love having a nice facility to hang out in....great missionary work Landon!

Northwest Storm of the Century!...or so they say...

The Storm of the Century has come and gone!  We were all home for the entire week...Eldon and I worked from home and Landon had snow days for the entire week!  Our power went out for a number of hours on Thursday...but we were lucky enough to have it come back on.  There are families in our ward that are still without power, so were have been able to enjoy the weather....

 If you look close, it started to rain and freeze ontop of the ice, which then made the landscape look really cool, with ice drops on top of the ice....

 Eldon had Landon climb into one of our trees to cut down the damaged limbs.  He had the chainsaw attached to a rope which they put over a limb, Eldon would hold onto the rope in case Landon fell or slipped....that way it kept the chainsaw from falling with or on Landon if he fell or slipped.  Clever idea they learned from some other "tree chainsaw climbers".

Side note:  Eldon and Landon worked for over 5 hours at the church building helping clean up the broken limbs from the trees on the church property.  

Snow has been replaced by rain and is now gone...it never lasts too long around here.

Church Ball has Begun...Let the Games Begin!

Landon has his buddies and team lined up.  They are ready for the year....they have visions of winning, not just a game or two...but the whole enchilada!  Now only time will tell.....and so far, so good....

30th Anniversary...delayed posting....

I didn't want to miss putting in our 30th Anniversary posting.  It happened clear back mid December....but posting on the blog wasn't in my thoughts at the time...so after going through pictures again I wanted to have some memories of our Anniversary....30 years of happily ever after with each other....and we wouldn't have missed it for the world!

 We went to Portland and stayed for the weekend....

 Still in love after all these years....older yes, but still in love.

 We went to a play called "Ebenezer Ever After".  It was a fun play....about what happened in Ebenezer Scrooge's life after his awakening....

Worm Gears and Leathermans

If Eldon can't enjoy "worm gears" every birthday and Christmas, he will settle for a new Leatherman.  He finally got his Christmas present that came very late...but came non the less....

If you don't know what a "worm gear" is...you'll have to go look it up...and yes, what you find is exactly what Eldon gets a thrill over...I know, I know....we don't understand it either, but we love them because he loves them!

Christmas 2011 Holiday Continues

After Christmas we were able to go out target shooting with the Olivers....it's always a great time when we get together with them.  

 We all got excited playing with my new Cricut Expression 2.  Even when Evie came over and saw what we were doing got excited and wanted to make one too!  He did a great job!  I love the Cricut!

 As you may have guessed, these are some other very late nights when children should go to bed, but instead stay up to play and think of all kinds of weird things to do.  Above, you see the girls try to make Landon look like Eldon when he got married....notice the afro and created mustache.  Below, the girls wanted to see what they may look like if they were to have mustache's....silly, silly children....but memories now created and printed forever!

 Breanna insisted on cleaning my freezer out....clever idea, wearing winter gloves to do it.

 Last, but not least....the required motorcycle ride before having to go back home....even if it is just around the neighborhood....

We miss them all and Landon just isn't as noisy around the house without the girls.....

May 2012 be filled with joy, peace and happiness for all and may you make many fond memories along the way!  We are so grateful for all we have been blessed with.
