Semisi Plays Soccer in Seattle!

We had the rare priviledge of having Semisi in town to play in his soccer tournament.  They played in Tukwila, which is about 30-40 minutes away from our home.  We loved going to watch him play!  We were able to find him, because he seemed to carry himself just like his Dad, Kevin.  Here's some pics of his great playing skills!  Love it!
Misi's number 13....

Looks a lot like his dad!  Handsome guy, don't ya think!

We could not believe how fast this guy could run!  He could go from 0 to 60 in 4 seconds...I swear!

We also got to pick Misi up from his hotel room and take him Jeeping for a morning.  Thanks for the fun times!  Semisi is awesome!

Landon Hard At Work...Summer of 2011

Landon has been working for the Findlay family in our ward.  Recently he's been doing a lot of pressure washing....needless to say, he's really gotten into his work....
Yes, these are jeans covered/caked in mud.

Gotta love good hard "clean" work.

4th of July on the EastSide of Chinook

Here we are at the summit of Chinook Pass.  There was still 15-20 ft high snow banks, and here it is the July 4th weekend!  Amazing!
Andrew Johnson came with us for the weekend.  Love having that boy around...

These are the fish ladders that are located at Little Naches, where we camped for the weekend.

Jeeping to our hearts content.  The weather was wonderful, company and food was great and we hardly ever saw another Jeep on the trails.  Couldn't have asked for anything more.  And if you come home with a clean Jeep, well....then you haven't been Jeeping....
Andrew watching Landon do the work....Andrew kept busy carving me a canoe and paddle, which by the way, turned out amazing!  Way to carve Andrew!

 Boys and their toys...
 Landon suddenly climbs tree!

Eldon wishing he could climb tree....

Of course, we got back in time to enjoy some fireworks!...just the explosive kind though....nothing that was pretty....We enjoyed a safe, happy, festive, sunny weekend!  We hope all of you did too!

Trip to Visit Tiffany!!! Yea Tiff!

We hadn't gone to visit Tiffany in Rexburg since we dropped her off 3 years ago, (she did come home to visit on occasion...) so we thought it would be good to visit her to see where she worked and played...we had such a great time! Breanna met us there also...she drove from Provo to hang out with us.

So we got to see her in action playing Ultimate Frizbee...

Played pool at Tiff's lounge...one of Landon's favorite pasttimes while waiting for girls to get ready...
Straightened mom's hair for a new and updated look.

We went to Tiffany's restaurant where she worked for a while, met Steven who's she's dating...(do I dare say that?!?....:), went bowling, to a car show, stadium singing, played way too long at the BYU Bookstore (Apple area), and just hung out playing games....

And watched Steven and Landon play TRON on a little itty bitty screen....:)

We also celebrated Father's Day, the best way Eldon knows how...with his family. We sure missed Telisha, Nate, Sidney, Owen and Tanner though!!!!!!!

Thanks for the fun memories Tiff! We love you!

...they really do exist....

I have truly believed for a number of years now, that there is a fish still alive in the 11+ year old pond. Now, here is the proof we have needed....and look how he's grown!

He seems to live alone now, so we'll have to find some friends for him this year. I regularly feed him now, just to see if he'll come to the top of the pond for viewing...

Hummingbird Time...

Don't you love the time of year when the hummingbirds begin to fly around your place? We have a couple of hummingbird feeders that we try to keep filled each season. Here are a couple of pictures of the 4 hummingbirds that have come back this year. They're quite territorial and don't like to share too much, but we managed to capture a photo with two of them tolerating each other, if even for a moment or two.

Pictures taken through the window screen, so not as clear as one would like...

Father and Son Motorcycle Ride

May 29, 2011 - On one of the nicest days of the year so far, Eldon and Landon took off for a very quick motorcycle ride up Highway 410, just because they could. Landon has now signed up for his motorcycle class, which is required for the motorcycle endorsement. Both men have their permits which are good for 90 days.

The trip didn't take too long because Eldon had to be back to conduct a funeral for a sweet elderly sister in the Ward, Sister Cathern Harston....Eldon's second in two weeks....

They had really looked forward to taking the motorcycles on the road together. I'm sure it will be a first of many to come....now if only the good weather would stick around for any length of time!

Summer, here we come....!
