1st Motorcycle Ride as "Street Legal"

"Jeep, Motorcycle, Jeep, Motorcycle...which should I drive...."

We thought we better record Landon's 1st street legal motorcycle drive. This is the day we registered the motorcycles for street (not just trail riding...). I believe it happened on Friday, May 13th 2011..Landon had come home for lunch, hoping the paperwork would be done, and drove off to finish up school for the day. He couldn't get the smile off his face...:)

May Birthdays...

We celebrated Eldon and Landon's birthday this month. It's been a quiet month of celebrations, but we love these two men and wish them the very best in the year ahead!

For Landon (17) he was able to receive some gas money which always comes in handy, sport shorts, one gigantic box of his favorite popcorn and some princess balloons his good friends couldn't resist on surprising him with...but for his favorite birthday gift he wanted to register the motorcycles so that he could ride it to school and back. Gas money was getting pretty expensive as he drove the Jeep everywhere. He's hoping the motorcycle will be a little softer on the wallet....He passed his knowledge test and now has to go through a state motorcycle class to get his official motorcycle endorsement....He even got his Dad to get licensed! Pray for safety.....!

Eldon received a Kindle for his birthday and has it all set up and is reading his first book on it! Gotta love that! Thanks to the girls for helping with the purchase of his first ebook!

Happy Birthday to you both!

Visit to Provo - May 6-9, 2011

With Breanna moving to Provo, we took a trip to drop off a bed, computer and other personal belongings....
We went to the last BYU Baseball game against Seattle, no less... We had hotdogs before, got pictures with Cosmo, and got a personal handshake and signature from Bronco Mendenhall - all in one day! We even squeezed in visiting with Larry Smith and family and Mother's Day shopping! Doesn't get much better than that, except we truly enjoyed hanging out with family!
With lots of laughs and fun we really had a wonderful weekend!

Pretty gook looking guy! No one would guess he's a grandpa, three times over....

Breanna had an "Ultimate Frizbee" game Saturday morning...that was truly a highlight of our trip...Landon and Tiff really wanted to get out on the field to play...!

Tiffany drove from Rexburg to be with us. It always get fun when they get together! You wouldn't catch Landon doing this while eating dinner with just mom and dad....LOL!

Breanna took us on a private tour through the new BYU Broadcasting building. We felt quite priviledged and honored to have a tour of this new "state of the art" building.

Boys Will Be Boys

Owen thinks it's great fun to bury Tanner in the bin.  Sometimes Tanner does too, other times he doesn't.
The rest of these pics are taken next to Sidney's soccer practice field.  I have to take all 3 by myself, so needless to say, instead of fighting the boys to NOT go in the mud, I just dress them accordingly.  I think they enjoy it.

This face pretty much sums up how they feel about it!

Spring at the Packard House

Owen insisting that Tanner smile and look at the camera.  How's that working out Owen?
Standing next to a melting ice carved bunny and egg at the Columbus Zoo

I love the tulips that come out this time of year.  It makes me SO happy!
The boys and their pans.  They can't put the pans down now that they've seen Tangled, and have learned that they are weapons of mass destruction.
And of course you have to have a picture next to the freaky bunny that they ha at the city Easter egg hunt.  :)
