OUCH!

I'm just so glad that Landon is almost 18 years old and we haven't spent hardly any time in the emergency room.  ~knock on wood~

Eldon and I had been out running errands.  Landon was out mowing the lawn and had stopped to move the trampoline when he thought he'd try to turn over the Berry Bug engine.  It didn't start up with the key, so he just got the crank out to help it get turned over.  Here's what happened next....

The engine turned over after the crank hit his head. He felt the hit, obviously, but didn't realize he was bleeding until the bleeding began to run down his face.  Because we weren't home and because he didn't want to get the house filled with blood, he ran over to the neighbor next door.  Our neighbor gave him a rag to help stop the bleeding and made sure he knew he better get to the hospital to get stitches.  After getting ahold of us, we had him drive himself to the hospital where would meet up with him.  8 stitches later....

Needless to say, he was given a tetanus shot - just to make sure.

Dad was able to take out the stitches....looks like it's healing just great.  Thankfully we haven't had to do this often!

Breanna's in LOVE, and we LOVE it!

Discloser:  I hope I don't get in trouble for posting this...

Ashley Rigby got married and we had all decided that we were going to meet up in Boise with Tiffany and Breanna.  Well, within the time frame that we had tentatively planned this, Breanna met her new love, Rudyard Hopkins.  We anxiously invited Breanna to bring him along so we could meet this wonderfully lucky fellow who had stole the heart of Bree.

We had a great time visiting with family at the wedding reception of our niece and enjoying the company of family.  We also loved the opportunity of meeting Rudyard and seeing Breanna head over heels for this man.

I think my shallow thinking of the trip would have to be the complete and total exhilaration of driving my brother's BMW M series car!  May I just say......Life Is GOOD!

PS...we'd all love to know what he's really thinking here....like perhaps this family is nuts?!

Bree's shot just as she got "scoped" on her eye.  We didn't even think about making sure her eye was a bit further away from the scope.  Luckily, we had a doctor in the house!  Thanks Dr. Curtis!  We owe ya!

I look good with the pretty machine...don't ya think?
...but look betther driving it!

This is the memory we'll all remember on our trip to Caldwell, ID!
Chinese Food at the Golden Dragon!

do we look a little "iffy" on the food?
...and next time you hand out a bill for food, make sure you give them the good ole, "Chank Low"!

...night at the church bldg, giving it the night try....only the young at heart made it, the rest of the adults were too tired to make a go of it.

We wished we had some of the wedding pictures, as there were some really good ones taken there.  I'll post those another time if I get any in my possession.
We loved spending time with Grandma and Grandpa Rigby too.  We went to their home on Sunday morning to watch General Conference.  We always enjoy seeing them and Uncle Steven.

WOOHOO FOR SENIOR PROJECTS!

Yes, one would normally think a Senior project is never fun, but it can give one an opportunity to do something that they otherwise probably wouldn't do....hence, the Parkour Classes!

For his Senior Project, Landon took on some Parkour classes.  If you're wondering what Parkour is, someone once described it as learning how to get away from Law Enforcement if, in fact, they are chasing you....
another definition could be..."is a physical discipline which focuses on efficient movement around obstacles...to teach participants how to move through their environment by vaulting, rolling, running, climbing, and jumping."  Doesn't that sound right up Landon's alley!?!
He's really enjoyed it and learned that he has muscles he never knew he had.  He actually did very well in the class and caught on quickly.  I think the instructor liked having him there.
Here are some pictures that give you an idea of the class.

...and yes, he did make almost all the jumps he tried, including this one.  The instuctor hadn't been able to make this jump himself, but thought Landon might be able to, and Landon was able to do it the first time.
