Labor Day at the Sand Art Exhibit

On Labor Day Tami, Eldon and I went to view the Champion of the Champion Sand Art in Federal Way.  Following are some great pictures of the Sand Art!  It's hard to believe that some people make a full time career doing this.  They travel around the world.  Most are also involved in Ice and Snow Sculptures as well.  They allow 28 hours for completing the sculptures and their winning are only about $1,500.00 for first prize.  They cannot use any power tools of any kind.  It was interesting to learn of their simple and how very few tools they use.  It was wonderful to stop and observe about a part of art we rarely even think about.  Enjoy the pictures!

After we ate hotdogs and had some kettle corn we headed to Rodondo Beach Boardwalk to enjoy some sunshine....We even found a park there and enjoyed chips and salsa...
Skipping stones along the beach.  Eldon finally got one to skip 5 times!

Great day, great company and good food.  Couldn't ask for much more than that!
